Summer
The Pitztal offers something for everyone...
As the southernmost tributary valley of the Inn valley, the Pitztal valley stretches from the Tyrolean district capital Imst into the Ötztal Alps. A traveler can experience more than 40 km (25 mi.) and 1,000 m (3,281 ft.) difference in altitude before reaching the end of the valley at the foot of the highest Tyrolean peak, the Wildspitze (3,774 m (12,382 ft.)).
Into the heart of the Alps: Fernpass - Imst - into the Pitztal valley - Arzl - Wenns ... and then up to Jerzens, closer to heaven - and you're already there and can plunge into your hiking dreams!
Jerzens
The town hasn't lost its grown structure as can be seen during the summer. During the summer months, Jerzens turns seamlessly from a vibrant winter sports metropolis into a contemplative Tyrolean mountain village with all its advantages in the summer: Quiet, relaxation and hours of hiking possibilities.
The work of the farmers is the central part of village life: Jerzens even has a pipeline taking the milk from Jerzens Alpine pastures directly to the old mill in the valley.
